Dr. Steven Alff
Dr. Steven Alff has spent most of his life treating patients with spine-related disorders, beginning with his training in the Spinal Cord Injury Center at the Long Beach Veteran’s Administration Hospital in 1972. There, working with many wheelchair bound Veterans, he learned firsthand the devastating effects of spinal cord injuries. Believing that there was even more that could be done to help victims of back and spine-related injuries, Dr. Alff advanced to Chiropractic College in 1978, graduating with honors from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1981.
With his wife, Susan, Dr. Alff has maintained a successful, active Chiropractic practice in Ventura, California, since 1982. He has helped thousands of patients with back, neck and other musculoskeletal problems during his more than twenty-seven years as a chiropractor.
Dr. Alff has incorporated the newest cutting-edge technology, the “Pro-Adjuster” system of spinal adjusting, into his practice. The Pro-Adjuster is a completely computerized system that first analyzes your spine for areas of misalignment, and then corrects the injured area with a gentle “tapping” adjustment. Dr. Alff is passionate about the chiropractic lifestyle, natural health, and the power of a positive mental attitude. Since his days in Chiropractic College, he has been motivated by the famous Napolean Hill quote, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” He practices, personally, the advice he gives to his patients about health and fitness. Having been a physical education major, he has cultivated his passion for physical fitness and natural health. Dr. Alff loves to exercise, as well as tend to his orchid garden. And, you might see him hiking with his beloved Australian Shepherd, Maggie, in the foothills of Camarillo.
Dr. Alff and his wife, Susan, have been married for 34 years, and have raised their two children, Darren, 26, and Marissa, 22, in Camarillo. Dr. Alff’s other interests include the study of metaphysics and collecting classic science fiction “pulp” magazines.
